He also ended the series with a stunning three wins after taking out the $330 No Limit Hold’em event and joining with Mile Krstanoski to claim the Teams title.
One of the most consistent performers on the local tournament scene over the past three years since bursting onto the scene with a fourth in the 2010 ANZPT Perth Main Event.
He won the PLO titles at the Joe Hachem Deep Stack Series and Vic Champs at Crown Melbourne in 2010, while his previous biggest tournament cash came in the $500 NLHE tournament also at the 2012 Vic Champs.

Now based in Melbourne, Marsland defeated the man who led the field into yesterday’s final table, Tony Aslani. He earned $40,000 as runner-up while Steve Matthews took home $27,000 for third.
In the other highlight of the action at Crown Perth over the weekend, Kent Hunter emerged victorious over a line-up of 10 players in the $5000 High Stakes event. Nino Marotta and Bernard Beh filled out the minor placings. Coincidentally, Marsland won this title at the 2011 Western Classic!
