He has worked as the Tournament Director of D4 Events European Deepstack Championship and European Short-handed Championship. He has also worked as a floor person at some of Europe’s biggest poker tournaments including the Barrier Poker Tour, Paddy Power Irish Open, Pokerstars EPTs & UKIPTs and the WSOPE.

The JP Masters poker festival fully kicks off today at Dublin’s Citywest Hotel with the €750 buy-in JP Poker Masters at 6 p.m.. This year is its fifth year and there are great expectations as another festival will play out alongside it starting from tomorrow, the Norwegian Championship.

Now in its 10th year, the Norwegian Championship lands in Dublin, after previous annual stops in places such as Riga, Latvia and Nottingham, England. This nomadic-like behaviour is due to legalities surrounding live play in Norway.

The Championship, which is solely for Norwegians, adds six events to an already jam-packed schedule starting with a €500 limit hold’em six-max at 2 p.m. tomorrow, Mar. 24. The €800 main event begins on Wednesday, Mar. 28 at 2 p.m. and has two starting days. The main event’s attendance has increased steadily over the years and between 2009 and 2011 it has grown massively from 469 to 845.

Aside from the six Norwegian events, there are 45 events of all sorts in the JP Poker Masters, and they will run until Apr. 1. These events are open to everyone and should suit most pockets with buy-ins varying from €150 to €5,000.
